Here to Stomp the Stigma today is Tad Milmine, a Calgary police officer and the founder of Bullying Ends Here! Touched by a tragic story on the news many years ago about a teenage boy who took his own life because of severe bullying, Tad knew he had to do something. He has created a presentation to eradicate all forms of bullying, and has spoken to over a million people so far. In this episode I will let Tad explain what his charity is all about and how you can help.

Here to Stomp the Stigma today is Grant from Honey Badger Alliance! He served in the military, toured in Afghanistan, and is now employed in corrections. In today’s episode we got to talk about his experience in the military and how it affected his mental health, as well as the thankless job that is corrections. Grant started the Honey Badger Alliance to help others through their mental health battles. He has so much knowledge to share, I hope you take away something new from this episode. I can’t wait to have Grant back for another one!

Here to Stomp the Stigma again today is Daniela, the voice behind The Often Unseen. A little over 3 years ago, her husband was held hostage by a group of inmates at the jail he was working at. In today’s episode Daniela shares her journey with hypervigilance and micromanaging following the event, as well as how her marriage and home life changed. She has finally started to acknowledge and care for the trauma she experienced herself, and shares with us her blog and self care routine.

We get to talk about supporting her husband through his battle with PTSD, as well as how she has handled her own trauma surrounding the event. One message Daniela wants you to remember is that your trauma is valid and you can never compare your story to anyone else’s.
